Inventory changelog

1.0.3 — 2026-10-19

  • Qbox: weapons could not be used ("This item could not be used"). The ox_inventory shim now marks every weapon from data/weapons.lua as a weapon item, as real ox_inventory does, and adds weapons and ammo that are only in weapons.lua. Weapons already in a player's inventory work without a relog.
  • Qbox / ESX with the shim: food and drink from an ox items.lua work through the item's own client.status (hunger / thirst), when the item is not in Config.Consumables.
  • Docs: INSTALLATION.md → Qbox explains how item use is routed; SUPPORT.md row for "This item could not be used".

1.0.2 — 2026-10-19

  • ox_inventory compatibility shim: added forceOpenInventory(playerId, invType, data), so admin menus and police search that call it open the player's inventory (or a stash) on Qbox and ESX.

1.0.1 — 2026-10-19

  • ESX / Qbox: the item list is pushed when the character finishes loading, the load-time fetch retries, and a hotbar key with no list yet fetches it first. Hotbar keys and back items work straight after spawning.
  • Back items are redrawn when the player spawns or the ped is shown again, so items on the back appear without equipping something first.
  • Progress bars and notifications use lumo-ui when it runs, on every framework.

1.0.0 — first release

  • Slot inventory with a glass-style React interface: hotbar, drag and drop, split, lock, sort, quick actions
  • Equipment bays: backpacks (extra slots and weight), plate carrier with armor plates, phone, radio and gadget slots
  • Physical drops: hold, throw and place items with real props; bulky items are carried in both arms; give with a recipient picker and hand-off animation
  • Stashes, trunks, gloveboxes, shops and vending machines
  • Crafting with levels and blueprints; experience tracks with rewards
  • Food, drink, alcohol and healing handled by the inventory (esx_status on ESX)
  • Built-in weapon handler when qb-weapons is not running: equip, ammo items, ammo saved per weapon, wear, throwables
  • QBCore, Qbox and ESX Legacy detected automatically; standalone mode with a built-in item list, free shops or your own money hooks
  • ESX: replaces ESX's inventory functions (xPlayer.addInventoryItem …) so ESX scripts use this inventory; existing ESX items and weapons are copied in once; xPlayer.inventory and ESX.PlayerData.inventory kept up to date for scripts that read the list directly; works alongside esx_addoninventory storage, esx_shops and esx_weaponshop (attachments and tints stored on the weapon item); licences from esx_license
  • Shops enforce licences (requiredLicense), jobs/gangs (groups), grade and duty on every framework
  • Qbox: the ox_inventory shim ships ~45 ready shops (24/7, liquor, hardware, Ammu-Nation, job armouries) and honours ox's groups, license and grade
  • Qbox: ox_inventory compatibility shim with generated item and weapon data
  • QBCore: qb-inventory name shim; drop-in for qb-inventory (events, exports, tables)
  • [E] key prompts for drops and vending when no target resource runs
  • Database tables created automatically (MariaDB and MySQL 8)
  • One folder: no lumo-bridge or lumo-ui needed; open source under GPL-3.0
